Beyond the Demo: Evaluating AI Workloads on Armv9
Overview
On the CIX Armv9 platform of the Radxa Orion O6, this project deploys ERNIE MoE and MNN multimodal workloads, assessing the real-world usability of open-source AI from model execution, memory requirements, runtime behavior and application output. The two cases respectively show MoE language-model routing and text/image/audio inference, tying model capability to concrete edge use cases. Its ecosystem value is a workload-evaluation framework beyond a one-off demo, helping developers judge Armv9 deployment fit by model behavior, system constraints and application needs.
Scope of verification
- The analysis is limited to the Radxa Orion O6, the specified ERNIE MoE and MNN multimodal models, and the article's runtime/build configuration; observations describe the deployment behavior of these two workloads.
- It does not constitute a general Neon/SVE2 benchmark, cross-hardware performance comparison or a compatibility conclusion for all open-source models, and does not cover production serving, long-run reliability or full application integration.
